Mostly good, minor issues

I took the Garage Floor coating certification course. The content itself was very informative, and I learned a lot about proper application techniques. Access to the course was immediate, which was convenient. However, I did notice a couple of the video segments on moisture mitigation seemed a bit outdated in terms of their equipment examples. It wasn't a huge deal, but a refresh there could be helpful. Overall, a good experience and worth the price for the knowledge gained.

Comprehensive learning experience

I signed up for the Leggari Certified Installer program and it was quite thorough. The ordering process was straightforward on their site. Delivery, well, it's online, so access was immediate which was great. I did have a question about one of the modules on substrate repair, and their support team responded within a day with a helpful answer. The video quality was consistently good, and I found the content on commercial flooring systems particularly useful. The instructions were clear, making the practical application much easier to understand.

Good value for training

I was looking for some epoxy training that wouldn't break the bank and saw the Metallic Epoxy Floor course. The price was really good, especially compared to some others I looked at. It felt like a solid investment for learning something new. I was happy with the overall cost and what I got for it.

Loved the Wood Grain course!

I just finished the Wood Grain Epoxy course and it was fantastic! The instructors were so clear and made everything easy to understand. I'm already planning my next project. I'm definitely going to recommend Leggari Academy to everyone I know who wants to get into epoxy work. So much fun!

Reliable training again

This wasn't my first time using Leggari Academy. I had taken the Epoxy Countertop course a while back, and this time I enrolled in the Flake Flooring course. Just like before, the content was well-organized and easy to follow. It's consistently good quality, which is why I keep coming back. They really know their stuff, and I appreciate that I can always count on their training to be up-to-date.

Anyone know if they usually do a Black Friday deal for the certified installer program? Really want to sign up but trying to save some cash.

T Todd Foster 1 month ago
They definitely do! I got a bundle last Black Friday, saved a few hundred. Keep an eye on your email around then.

Yeah, they usually have sales for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Sometimes it's a percentage off, sometimes a set amount. Worth waiting if you can.

Are their certifications actually recognized by anyone? Like, if I put it on a resume for a contracting job, would it mean anything?

N Noor 1 month ago
I think it's more about the skills you learn. For actual contracting, showing a portfolio of work probably matters more than just the certificate itself. But it definitely shows you're serious about learning the right way.

From what I hear, it's pretty well-regarded in the industry, especially among pros who know Leggari Products. It's not like a government license, but it adds credibility for sure.

Trying to decide between this and Stone Coat Countertops for learning. Anyone done both or have a strong opinion on which is better for a DIYer?

T Todd Bennett 2 months ago
I've only done Leggari Academy but it felt super thorough for a DIYer, especially with the step-by-step videos. Haven't tried Stone Coat though.

My buddy did Stone Coat and liked it, but I went with Leggari for the floor course and felt like the instructors were really good at breaking down complex stuff. Leggari feels more geared towards a full range of applications, not just countertops.

Thinking of doing the metallic epoxy floor course. How long do I actually have access to the lessons? Is it like a month or forever?

N Neil K. 2 months ago
It's lifetime access, once you buy it, it's yours. Super helpful for going back to reference stuff.

Yeah, I just finished the countertop one and I can still log in and rewatch everything. No rush, which is nice.
